The exhaust brackets we were waiting on arrived, so the exhaust could finally be installed properly. Of course, the exhaust didn't go on without a fight; it took several hours to wrestle it into place. Once the exhaust was on, we reinstalled the freshly rebuilt carburetor and prepared to fire the engine once more. A couple of cranks later, the engine was running and sounding great, and the rebuilt carb was performing well. With the majority of the work on the engine and chassis now complete, our attention will shift to the body. The body has been gutted, but there is still a lot of prep work to do before we can lay down paint.
